Dr. Maggie Meira Chiang, President. Dr. Chiang’s Office of the President is responsible for overseeing Foundation initiatives; and cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships with Foundation constituents.
Prior to joining this foundation, Dr. Chiang lived in Jerusalem, Israel.
Dr Chiang has taught at top research universities in the United States. She has held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Her primary specialties today are religion and literature, scriptural exegesis and traditional Sinology.
At the University of Texas at Austin, Dr Chiang served on the University’s Senate Committee for Academic Freedom and the Committee on Race Relations. She represented the university at a large conference on race relations in Texas higher education. She brings her commitment to scholarly freedom and to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to the Foundation.
In addition to education, scholarly and community-wide leadership and service, Dr Chiang has committed herself to qi-based learning in her personal life. Her personally hobby is reading esoteric ancient canonical texts such as黃帝內經 Huangdi neijing. Having started such training many years ago, she now devotes much time every week to cultivating qi-based health.
